I have been dying for the '55 Custom with the P90 and Alnico pickups.

Please talk me out of this, especially at $4799. I know there are good dealers out there, but from all of my research, I don't think guys like Wildwood are going to offer any discount on these.

Anyone have one already? maybe the goldtop version?

I like Les Pauls but that price is high....and why get a new LP ? Get a used R_ for $2000-2500.

You should be able to get a '54BB for $1,000 less. Is a slightly different neck profile really worth all that extra dough?
