Help! I recently bought a TC Electronic G-major and want to use the pitch shifter for some harmonizer type leads for some old 80's tunes with my band. I see that I have two voices to control and they both range from -2400 to 2400. I've played around with it and set one at -300 and the other at 600 for a decent sound, but I'm a bit confused and need some schooling! Any constructive help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As far as I can tell, -300 cent is a minor 3rd down, and 600 cent is a tritone up, 100 cent = a semitone. It's in the user manual on page 41 http://www.tcelectronic.com/media/g_major_us_rev71.pdf
I don't think, you're really going to nail the 80's sound without an intelligent pitch shifter though.

Hard to reply when you don't really tell us what you're after.
But if your setup is stereo, try +9 on one side , -9 on the other for a classic 80's sound.

Thanks Flenz... I was wondering if I should have held out for a G-Major 2 with the intelligent pitch shifter. I have the manual, but I just wish the manual gave some more examples and explained it a little better.

Thanks Blix...I'll give that a try. A good example of what I'm after is the beginning of Def Leppard's "Bringing on the Heartbreak"...although I believe that is two guitars.
