Damn shame...they made some very cool guitars. Looks like a bunch of GMPs went on e-bay last night and the company is defunct.

No possibility of a buy-out, with a new board of directors?

this was in the making ever since they compromised and signed up with .. sam ash or guitar center initially and their stuff they made for them wasn't all that.
later on they pulled out of that and focused on making really qual axes again .. too late I guess real shame.
Totally love their Pawnshop Deluxe guitars can't say enough about them!

Yup, another great company bites it.

They had a few quality control issues in the past, I worked on a couple of guitars in the 400 serial number range that bored me. A few years later, I try the guitars at NAMM and they were killer. We've been doing them for a year now and have had nothing but killer stuff. I just got off the phone with the California shop, seems that they want to complete the guitars in production and then it's over.

There's more to it that will come out in time, but I for one and really bummed. Great guitars, a sales guy that you could trust(Phil Amato, in New York), and finished second to none in the WOW department.

Maybe things sill improve, we'll see. In the meantime, grab them while you can.

Bummer. I have and have had quite a few GMPs in my day.

Great guitars. When they were on they were as good as anything out there

Here are some of my past and current ones

Is that the brand that Mr. Pat Benater played/plays? Sorry, his name is escaping me right now, senior moment...

Neil Geraldo is Mr Benatar.

I called in a friend who is a big mover in the industry, asking him to consider buying the company so as to continue the great stuff and save it from being just another flash in the pan. Talks are started, I have been told. Join hands and light candles....

NO WAY! My God I dont want to believe it, those guys were all good friends of mine. Please dont let this be true. I worked with Harvey at the Fender Custom Shop for a long time and got to know Glen and the gang over the years. Well if it is so then all things happen for reasons and when one door closes another opens and we all take what we learn and apply it to bigger and better things so I wish them ALL the best in what life has to offer.

All I can say is F#%K!!!!!!

Very nice guitars. One of the G&R guys played them for a while. I can't knock a good sparkle top...and they made some of the best I've ever seen.

Looks like Wild West Guitars in southern Cal still has a few nice ones yet to be snagged. They are unique to say the least. You know how
it usually goes though, now the prices will skyrocket 'cause there
are only a few left, and no more to be made. Maybe some big vegas "Investor" bought the brand name and plans to make million$ from cheezy knockoffs made by the hundreds in indonesia, korea, etc., then
brag how the imports will be better and cheaper, and then drag the original owners reputation through the mud on his website.
Just thinkin' out loud...

This is very sad.

A small group of very talented guys building kick-ass guitars here in the USA.
I wish the best for Dave, Glenn, and Pete in their future endeavors.

Good luck my friends,

Ron

GMP blew out their inventory on Ebay below dealer cost.

Junior's Music (http://www.juniorsmusic.com/GMP/GMP.htm) in Clinton CT has a 4 or 5 killer GMP's including a killer pawn shop classic.

I'll take one soul, or a "Lost weekend" with Bridget Fonda, or a complete running Harley Panhead motor that DOESN'T LEAK, or......
