This is interesting:

I don't think this is political but more just shows outright negligence or a scam.

Well, there isn't much 1979 unlevel sea ice left, what do you expect? :dunno

The whole global warming exercise is a struggle in futility.

On one side we have:

The debate is over
The world is warming alarmingly
it is man made
we must curb emissions via killing our economies

On the other side we have:

faulty collection of data
faulty conclusions of science
man is not the primary culprit

So who are WE Joe Public supposed to believe? I blame the alarmists for turning it into a political issue instead of scientific one. And I believe the alarmists have purposely exaggerated the dangers and extent of mans being the cause.

I DO believe we are undergoing climate change and it would be a heck of a good idea to understand the implications. I also DO believe man is a factor in climate change and not just from emissions. Heat sinks in our cities and forest reductions are all factors.

I'm not gonna crow because a "side" of this issue has a gotcha over the other side. I am concerned and mostly because that is where we are at. Pity. There is an issue and we can do some things but the alarmists and their lies have poisoned the well for the rational among us.

There's always a number of people on this topic that zero in on the data as indisputable proof.

This is clear evidence of there being no credibility to the data at all.

That's the way I see it.

Guy walks into a job interview for "Bookkeeper"

The CEO asks hands him the last months' receipts and asks him "what do these say to you?"

The applicant answers "well, what do you want them to say?"

He got the job.

Oh, so these 12 thermometers are gathering all the data on climate change? Interesting, I didn't know the thousands of scientists studying this were only using these 12 thermometers. That is concerning. :hide2

Funny you mentioned all the data on climate change because nobody is allowed to audit it:

yeah, tell me about it. facts, figures, and scientific research always make these things seem so complicated! thats why i just look up at the sky and say: nope, i dont believe it!! after all, my subjective belief carries way more weight than some silly "data!"

we ought to feed all these "scientists" a nice tall glass of hemlock.

It might be concerning if it were true. Is it true?

Do they monitor the figures from each thermometer constantly?

Wouldn`t the outside influences be somewhat constant? Wouldn`t that still allow meaningful data to be collected?

Obviously, this "information" is contained in a biased blog. Does anybody actually know what these pictures really are? The Phds/scientists that I work with, who, by the way have been studying this for decades, say different. Who am I going to believe? Scientists at national lab or some pissed off schmo typing up a blog?
