Hello all. I'm a newbie here, posted a couple of times, so I thought it time to introduce myself. I live in northern South Carolina USA, late forties, and I like guitars. I've been playing for a long time but you wouldn't necessarily notice; when asked if I'm any good I ask the asker "Do you play?" If they say no, then I tell them, "I'm probably better than you." If they say yes, then probably not so much. But I do love me some guitars.

About seven years ago, when I realized that my affection for guitars was a good bit stronger than my playing ability was ever likely to be, I started building them. I had done a fair amount of woodworkery, so I decided to build from scratch, and it has worked out so far. I've knocked out an LP and a couple of flat-tops. These are my work:

The building of these three guitars and also the one I'm making now (a big jazz archtop) are pretty thoroughly documented on my website, www.chandlerbryan.com (http://www.chandlerbryan.com).

Other than those three my arsenal consists of a '00 ES-335 (cherry red), an '88 Am. Std. Tele (sunburst, maple neck), an early-eighties Squier P-Bass with upgraded pups, and a semi-semihollowbody archtop made by my father-in law:

It's a semi-semihollowbody because the back floats free and isn't attached to the center block.

My amps are a reissue Ampeg Reverberocket R12, a reissue Deluxe Reverb, and a red-knob Fender Champ 12.

This looks like a fun community from the few days I've been around, thanks for having me.
