Hog Top Sound ?'s

Could someone speak to the difference in sound from a mahogany top guitar? Is it better suited to a particular style (strumming, finger-picking, etc)? Or, better for certain music (blues, jazz, etc)? Thanks, Steve

Why do some prefer a magogany top?

I prefer a all mahogany Les Paul for its tone. My all hog lester had a full unique sound my others just didn't have.
