I programmed the drums and bass on the Dr-880. Then I played the rhythm and solo guitar on top. I wish I had more time to polish it up....but this is just some sunday fun. Any good?

Very cool man. Sounds like you are getting the hang of the DR880 just fine. I still feel like it has brought more fun to my playing than ANY other piece of gear I have ever bought, period. BTW was your guitar DR880 or something else?
Good job, keep 'em coming

Hi,
A very nice and varied tune that kept my interest all the way through.
Then again I'm a sucker for 80's fusion. So I wouldn't mind hearing a lot more from you in this vein. :)
Any chance of you posting a BT?
Cheers,
Mats N

Well, its is faster to work in Band in a Box or something like that, but the results with the Dr880 are much better. Plus, I never really cared for the other instruments other than bass and drums. I am planning to buy a base to learn how to play it (properly) and on the long run, I might buy an Edirol midi keyboard in order to play a few synth chords as well, although part of the reason why I bought the Dr.880 was to practise rhythm as well.
I had to reread the manual this weekend in order to understand some things better.
Yep, the guitar was through the Dr880 and I like it.;)

You liked it? I'm really pleased. :)
Do you want a the BT with the rhythm guitar as well? I have as a separate track at the moment?
thanks

Hi Marin,
I think it would be nice to have it with the rythm guitar. That way I get some harmonics to play over.
Thanks!

ok. I'll mix it down this evening. I am warning you that it's a bit sloppy! :D

Hi Marin,
If you want to use the language of marketing people don't say sloppy. Say "loose and groovy". :D
I just have to make some fusion tracks of my own soon.
Cheers,
Mats N

Nothing in particular....just the vibe makes me think of that time: Larry Carlton, Spyrogyra, early yellowjackets, Lee Rit and a lot of unnamed LA artist which are famous throughout the supermarkets of this world. :D
thanks for you comment. :)
