the 1614T and the Model 24/1624

are they the same amp with too many names over different years? Are they just really, really similar with circuit changes? Are the chassis the same dimensions?

There is someone building 1614T chassis on ebay for a decent price and I was wondering/hoping if it was the same amp that turretboards.com was offering as a kit. Ideally I would get the complete chassis from ebay and the cab from turretboards.com

First of all, there never was a 1614T; the "T" in Supro model nomenclature stood for tremolo, and the 1614 never had trem. The 1616T did, and was otherwise pretty much the same amp as the 1614.

The 14 and the 24 series were totally different amps. The 1614 followed this schematic (http://www.valcopages.com/Schematics/1950SuproSpectator.jpg) (single-ended 6V6 amp, ~5W - though later amps substituted a 12AX7 for the 6SL7), whereas the 24 series (1624, 6424, 6524) followed this schematic (http://www.valcopages.com/Schematics/supro_s6424.pdf) (push-pull 6973s, ~18W, tremolo).

The last two digits of the model number stayed the same over time (sometimes adding or losing a letter suffix), but the first two digits changed from 16 to 64, 65 and 66 when major changes occurred in the Supro line. Higher values for the last two digits usually meant higher wattages and features, so the 24 was a more powerful amp than the 14 and the 24 had tremolo. The two amps had totally different circuits, chassies and physical dimensions.
