Hmmm, photo won't show. Worked before. Photobucket account - anyone know how to fix this?

I have a Contour 66 T that plays like a dream. Sounds good even if not stellar. Changing the pickups might be an option, but I don't know if that's easy because I heard their mounting holes are not standard...
Ah and here's mine. Gotta give them props for not discriminating against lefties. BTW, when I was in SD some 7 years ago, I got to know someone who was close to the Kiesel family (who owns Carvin). I could get a guided tour through the factory...with the boss as the guide ! :D I ordered soon after that...I have this C66T and a Bel Air I want to sell (too big for me). But unfortunately, Carvin's not so known in France, so it's tough to sell... :(

That's a really nice guitar!
If you email Carvin with the serial #, they will tell you when it was made and it's specs. It looks to me like the pups were replaced at some point, as Carvin pups have those 11 polepieces per bobbin
Guitarchaeologist

I believe the pickups to be Dimarzios, probably something like a Tone Zone and and Air Norton. They sound really good to me, and I dig the coil split tone they achieve with the 5-way switch, so that's really all that matters. They could be junkyard pickups, as long as they sound good to me.
Honestly, I don't mind leaving the guitar somewhat mystified. All I know is that I like the feel of the neck.. not necessarily that it makes it easy to shred or something, just that it feels comfortable in my hand. Also not sure if the fretboard is ebony or just a really dark rosewood. Call me irresponsible, but at least I enjoy playing the instrument :D
