Rocktron Intelliverb for playing acoustic?

Playing acoustic a couple times a month at church. Band includes drums, bass, electric, and keys. For most rocking songs, the acoustic is just a background rhythm instrument. But for many tunes, it's the only instrument. And it is here that I sound so thin. I'd like to make my sound "bigger" or "thicker" in some way... (perhaps a bit of delay).

current setup = Seagull Artist w/ LRBaggs Dual Source > LRBaggs DI > house

I have an old Rocktron Intelliverb that I've never used (no rack case, no MIDI controller). It seems like overkill for what I may need. Should I try the Intelliverb, or sell it and look at a pedal of some sort (i.e. reverb, delay, etc)?
