I'm checking out the EHX POG and POG2. They seem oddly expensive, seem to have no competitors or imitators, and it seems strange that no multi-FX seems to include something similar. Are there other ways to POG or have they monopolized the big-medieval-organ sound?

The EHX MicroPOG on the right settings can give you organ-esque sounds. Probably not as rich as it's big brothers though. I guess also the FoxRox Octron can do the same thing as it's the same layout as the MicroPOG.

I had hoped the Eventide PitchFactor would provide this organ tone, but it didnt so I had to pick up a pog2.

The Axe-FX can do it, but that is a LOT more expensive.

Not found a way to do the organ sound on the line6 m13 either.

There is the ehx Hog, but that is more expensive. To mew the POG2 is the best bang for buck for the organ sounds

The Octron and the POG sound nothing alike. The Octron sounds a lot more like an octave fuzz (due to the transistors) and the POG sounds digital and clean. The POG you can play chords, the Octron you can only play single notes (I mean you CAN play chords but it sounds weird).

I actually just bought a Micro POG a couple weeks ago and I love it. I am set with my fuzz pedals and the Octron didn't sound good with my other fuzz pedals and I didn't want to have to completely change tones just to get an octave for solos or what have you. I am not bad mouthing the Octron, it just didn't work with my setup.

The Octo-Verb in the line6 M13/M9 gets pretty close I think.

Pog 2 sounds like an organ. Supposedly it can be set for 12 string and other sounds but I have only gotten organ sounds. Its a lot of money especially if you don't play much church music. If I had ito do it over again I would have saved my money. On the other hand a lot of guys like them.
