Ok, I'm a Hiwatt guy for the most part and use pedals for all my dirt needs, but I've recently treated my home studio room and I'm thinking about a smaller amp (less than 50 watts or maybe with power scaling) for recording. It's important that it has great cleans (to me that's Hiwatt to tweedish, not so much blackface) and takes pedals really well, but it might be nice to get some good OD tones out of it too. I listened to some clips of the Tungsten Creama Wheat and thought that amp may work for me in the 6L6 format....again I'd like the cleans to have some power/punch to them. I know that these amps are still loud and I'm not looking for bedroom volumes necessarily. 1x12 or head format would be best. Budget - say around $1500 or less preferred. Greer amps have my ears perked too. Suggestions? Oh, and I'm not a fan of EL84's.

Pedals I own -

Big Muffs - Mayo; P1; BYOC – RH Muff; Pig Mine
Fuzz Face - Foxrox Hot Silicon; Lunar Module
Univox Superfuzz - Wattson Classic Fuzz
JMI – Tonebender MK II
Marshall Type Dist - Super Plextortion; G2

OD: Kingsley Jester; Tube Driver; SS2; Timmy; E6 Eternity; Tim

Look into the Viking Pillager. Viking Amps. I have one, it's kind of a cross between a Hiwatt (with a bit of blackface super reverb) on the clean channel and a Vox w/ tubescreamer on the OD channel. Comes in 30, 60 or 90 watt version. I have the 30-watter. Great recording amp or live amp.
