If you saw my previous post about my amp smelling funky
after a re-tube:-well its working and hasn't blown-up-
but I wont be leaving it on in the basement while I go watch the Star Wars Trilogy!

However-the reason I changed to new tubes is that the other ones[original ones I guess] sounded microphonic-or so I thought-Now im still getting a hi ringing sound which is triggered by certain notes on the guitar.

Im listening in a studio recording enviroment-getting rid of the noise is crucial.

Any idea whats up ?

Thanks.

If the new tubes are worse than the originals, put the originals back in and test again. If they're indeed better, substitute the new tubes ONE AT A TIME, testing after each new tube is installed. When the problem returns, you'll have found the problem tube(s).

Hi again-the new tubes or 'some' of the new tubes
must be better-cuz its not 'ringing' as much.

im gonna do your tube swap trick-but damn I'm nervous abot stickin' my hand up in there-of course UN=plugged-
also Id have to take the box apart to really see some of the sockets-so Im going by 'feel"-
Its going to a tech next week for the once over.

Thanks alot Blue Strat-very helpful.

Have a listen if ya like.[some of my first bogner recordings]
