An app that slows down solos so we can learn them!
an app that randomly generates lists.
lists of gear
lists of guitar players
lists of best guitar solos
lists of best guitar solos less than 5 minutes long
lists of best guitar solos more than 5 minutes long
lists of best guitar solos exactly 5 minutes long
etc etc etc etc etc ad nauseum.
it also generates threads about topics that have already been discussed 1,000 times
as well as lists of topics that have been discussed 1,000 times
lists of topics that have been discussed less than 1,000 times
lists of topics that have been discussed more that 1,000 times
it also generates arguments over the most trivial of topics... and it has an advanced algorithm that intensifies the argument as the triviality of the topic increases.
i give this app 5 stars.

I don't know what it would be, but I would want it to be an app of photos of all the cool gear owned by TGP members.

Drop them in windows and play at a slow speed. Line out to an external recording device (zoom h2), send it to your iPod and voilą.

A best of TGP section. People check a button to nominate a great post. Enough votes and a copy goes to a BOTGP section. It would be the first thing I would read each day.

The "what pickup should I buy" app. That would save a lot of posts.

A little bit of self promotion here, but my site ThreadHunter (http://www.threadhunter.com/) shows the top threads by view count from a number of discussion boards including TGP, Birds and Moons, and Acoustic Guitar Forum.
Top threads from all three guitar forums. (http://www.threadhunter.com/th/category/guitar)
Top threads from TGP. (http://www.threadhunter.com/th/site/TGP)
I'm testing keyword notifications now and I plan to add some kind of voting system for tops threads in the future.

whatever the format of the app, I think that each click should leave the user with the following 3 outcomes, simultaneously: (1) introduce a technical concept that you had not thought of before
(2) personally insult your intelligence, gear, and skill
(3) cost you $5 via PayPal (no Gift option)
