View Full Version : Journo's Far from real backtrack
I had a go on it, it is a very graceful one so I don't hope that I hacked it up too much.
Thanks to Mats

Hi Rid,
Beautiful intro you played. I also liked your sound. What did you use and how did you record it?
Cheers,
Mats N
Thanks Mats.
I used my Highway1 strat, three singles and all is stock.
Used my Marshall DRP-1 preamp along with my FET-Plexitone and my XL delay.

Hi Rid,
Did you record the Marshall DRP-1 direct to computer or did you use a speaker simulator?

Directly into the computer, it is a very nifty little thing.

Excellent tones Rid! The swells reminded me of Steve Hillage. Very well done, both playing and production...

Excellent tune, Rid! The volume swells in the intro had me drifting back to Jean Luc Ponty's "Enigmatic Ocean." :D Great tone and feel.

Those intro tones are really cool. Did you use a volume pedal?

Hi Marin,
Yes it is an old Yamaha mini volume pedal from the early 80's. I tried to use the guitar volume but that didn't work for me. I also tried the swell effect in the GS-10 but that wasn't as expressive as doing it myself.
Thanks for listening!
Cheers,
Mats N
