hey guys
I've decided to build a warmoth partsocaster & am in need of advice.
My plans are as follows for right now.
Neck - Warmoth Pro CBS Strat in Maple on Maple. No fret markers, sperzel tuners, 1 11/16 nut width, standard thin contour, 22 frets, no binding, grachtech black nut, clear satin nitro finish.
Body - Tele Deluxe [1 piece black korina finished in clear satin nitro]. pickups are bill lawrence wilde pickups 500xl in the bridge & 500l at the neck coil tapped.
I am needing advice in what bridge I should get as well as switches, input jack, etc.
I want a hardtail tremolo that is gonna sound sweeeeet & days of sustain.
I play lots of overdriven sounds and am a pretty straight up player.
cheers for help!!

Do you mean a non-tremolo bridge? If so I guess I'd recommend the Authentic FenderŪ brand non-tremolo or the Strat Flat Mount Bridge, Vintage Spacing.

You may want to consider Callaham or even a Taipan Tone .

Just so you know: Warmoth doesn't do nitro finishes.

i believe they do nitro for clear if you want. you should call just to make sure, they're always really quick about answering questions when you call.
anyway i went with their flatmount bridge for my tele deluxe and like it. i hated the bent steel saddles, but i already knew i did so i replaced them with graphtech's before i ever assembled the guitar. people are either very much for or very against the graphtechs, but there are a ton of saddles you can use to replace the bent steel! i really bought the bridge anyway to make sure it bolted on correctly since screw holes in different bridges can be different or the string through holes might be just a bit off from one bridge to the next.

EDIT: and you might not think so, but i felt like the standard thin was way too thin for me. not sure what it compares to in fender's guitars, but it's worth finding out and testing different models first. i've got their fatback contour for my next build and i'm really excited to try it

Warmoth does clear nitro. I just bought a neck with a rosewood board and clear satin nitro finish on the maple. Had my tech tint the headstock and it's sweet.

I don't understand why people would hate Graphtech saddles. I have them on three of my guitars - the ones I play the most - and I love them. You simply do not break strings after you install them. Further, I don't think they have a negative affect on tone at all.

I think Hipshot makes a very good hardtail Fender style bridge.

Nope. They do satin nitro necks but DO NOT do nitro bodies. I spoke with Spike at Warmoth about this yesterday.
You might look into Mark Jenny. He does really great nitro finishes.

I tend to use 59 profiles and did the same with the saddles.

Seems like those 500XLs can be ordered with either pole piece spacing.
The Hipshot is a nice bridge and I like it on all the mules I've placed it on so far. Sounds well suited to your needs:

I'm glad you love them. Some folks love their pizza smothered in bell peppers and for others, just a single morsel is foul. How can those of us who can hear the difference impress on those who cannot, that some can hear the difference and some cannot? At some point you gotta trust those with their senses on edge, however inconvenient this may be. ;). Without realizing it, you're messing up a lot of people.

Please, I beg you, don't use this h word so carelessly. We're talking about what I like and what you like. There's no place here for bitterness or rancor. Haters are those who shed blood over an issue, as I see it. We will never do that there.

The thickness of the baseplate. FWIW, they told me that the 0.125" is suited for most needs. I guess the thicker one could be needed of your strings are higher above the body.

I went the partscaster route last year and went with all Callaham hardware/switchgear.
It's great stuff and they were easy to work with in that they wired everything for my pickups, etc.
I even got my case from them.
