I always wanted to have band called "Single Stroke Explosion" I still laugh when I think of that name :rotflmao

So what's the best/funniest name you ever came up with?

I made up a few years ago, but have forgotten. My uncle was in a HS band in the late 60's. Their names:

Satire Soul
The Corduroy Bypass

I played for years in a cover band called "Brown Trout". As if that weren't bad enough, we actually changed our name to "The Naked Altar Boys" for a gig in Fells Point MD....we decided our first CD had to be called "Priest on the Run". :rotflmao

One of my first bands was called, "The Fabulous Phlemtones". The next band was a one off Halloween show, with the lead singer dressed in drag we we're called "Mother Love and the Wet Cigars". BTW, this pre-dates Clinton's tenure as President!

i fairly seriously pushed for As/Is as a band name once....until, at the only small gig we played under that name, everyone seemed to notice and comment on the fact that it sounded like "Asses" when the band was introduced.
So yeah, "Asses"

cheers

A friend had a dive bar band called Coon Dick Roach Clips. The bars made them shorten to CDRC.

My 2nd band in about 1968 was called The Psychedelic Love. When I joined I had a drum kit at home and I had cut out a piece of cardboard and put hippy graffiti on it with those words. The band grabbed and put it on our drummers bass drum and we became that. LOL

Kind of off the original OP but............

In 1970 (10th grade) I was in an on-and-off again large band (think BS&T and Chicago) the our sound guy got a gig for a smaller subset of us at a local hick bar.

When I pulled up in my "ride" (a 1964 Chevy Nova II station wagon) the flashing billboard at this DUMP bar was proclaiming

"BIRDSEED PLAYMATES ONE NIGHT ONLY"

Good Lord.

Earl's Watch

We even put out a single. The name came from a watch that our lead singer had. He said his father gave it to him. His father got it off the wrist of a friend at that friend's wake. The friend's name was Earl. How hilarious is that?

I also almost had a bluegrass band called Spud Messer and the Messer Rounders.
