WOW...bought the one off eBay. Just got it. JUST UNBELIEVABLE. Usually it's mugshot for ebay by now...this thing sounds unbelievable. I just can't get over what a fine guitar this is. This and my Heatley and my DeTemple are desert island guitars...and my Klein.....GOtts say it's probably my #1. Really that good. I want one now with a trem! Anyone up for a blockbuster trade or cash deal who has one? I'm ripe for the picking off.

Which model did you get?
The Bluesmasters series look awesome.
Pictures?? :dude
Interesting. I would never have thought to look for a Gustavsson on E-bay. I see that the seller ended the auction early for you.
That looks like a wonderful guitar!

Congrats! Incredible guitars, no doubt about it. Try putting some more "open" p/ups in there ;)

I know, finals and work have had me tied up the last few weeks, I've been meaning to come in. I'll stop by on Monday, drop of the p/up and check out the new stuff. :dude

funny because my pal & I were talking earlier in the week and he asked me if I had seen it. I went to completed auctions and saw it ended w/ no bids. I thought for sure someone had purchased it. I emailed the seller and it was still available. I paid too much but as you know there really is no alternative. This guitar was supposedly hand picked. I assume they all sound great but this one is just stellar. The only guitar that I've owned where I didn't have to install a PRS sweet switch to fatten it up.
The quality is really really nice but my Heatley and McNaughts etc are definitely NOT in the backseat to these. It's just amazing to play, comfortable, great neck, and sounds incredible. Honestly, I'm to the point where I don't even care so much about the best top as long as it has the other things going.
Gibsons feel like toys vs. this for some reason.
No pics.... for shame!!!:D

Go to ebay and search for Gustavsson under completed auction and you'll see it.
Meanwhile, this is how mine looked, as of 2 months ago.

How thick are the bodies? they look massively thick compared to other LP type guitars. Are they a full solid body or are they chambered.
I think I could chalk these up to my dream file

This is a little odd how this thread has come back from the dead. But to answer your question: the finished bodies are basically LP thickness; if anything, they're just a hair thinner. They're full solid body, although the current production ones are made with such light wood that they seem to be pretty uniformly in the low 8-lb range.

That's definitely par for the course on the GP. Although I *think* tradarama still has this one. Truly the rare case.
