Whilst looking for something else I ran across the pic of an SG I forgot I owned back in the mid 70's. Got from Ziggys Music in Kent, Ohio. It dawned on me that after hanging 'round here and looking at other sites I've haven't seen one of these. Anyone have one? Gibson.

I've not owned one of those I had a '73 Standard that was very similar but that is an SG Custom.

I'm sure there are others out there that aren't as pricey. Those just came to mind. The upshot about spending more, though, is getting a guitar that's been 'vetted' so to speak. I know Matt at Action, for one, is very good about finding SGs from this era that haven't had headstock breaks, etc. Be careful with 'deals' when it comes to these; not all that many have survived without incident. Happy hunting!

Bruceman - what an awesome picture! That's a keeper!
Those look like awesome guitars. Up where I live, Tommy's Guitar Shop has one for sale. I haven't tried it, but it looks pretty wicked.

Thanks guys. I'm not hunting for one. I just found that picture and realized I hadn't seen one of these, well, since that pic was taken. They must have been a two or three year run?
