Hi everyone,

as the title says I'm from Belgium and I'm currently still a student there. I got my Master of Law degree last year and now I'm doing another year to specialise in notarial law and hopefully to become a civil law notary some day.

A civil law notary is probably something a lot of you guys have never heard about, seeing as it is fairly unknown in common law countries. For instance the only state in the USA which I know to have a similar profession is Louisiana. For those who are interested (or really desperate to kill time :p), I'll just reference you to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_law_notary

Back to what matters more: music! Growing up I learned to play keyboards a bit and I've been playing guitar on and off for a couple of years now, restarted taking classes this year and currently own an Ibanez 440R, a Roland Cube 30 (which is begging for an upgrade) and last but not least, a Hamer Studio Custom Redwood (#2 of 30) ( http://users.telenet.be/blaxander/Foto's%20Gitaar/P1090803%20edit.jpg )

If import taxes wouldn't hurt me so much, I would probably be (more) broke by now, because of all the great gear that gets listed here :).

That's about it I guess, sorry for the long read :p.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome :)

Welcome Belgium guy! ;) Georgeous Hamer!

Thank you, I was very fortunate to get it. My dad went to the States and he was able to bring it back with him, so I didn't have to pay shipping nor import taxes :).

Welcome!

I've always enjoyed spending time in Belgium.

Brussels is a great city, and I've spent some time in Leuven (great little town, too) doing work at IMEC.

Thanks! Yes, I'm familiar with Leuven, I'm currently still studying at the university there and some friends of mine have studied engineering, so I've heard of IMEC as well :).
