just bought a Gibson LP standard 1993,beuatiful guitar.but when checking over never noticed the bottom strap pin was askew /lying to one side. looks like it might of been dropped onto the pin by the indentation on the body.someone has had ago at a repair, looks like a bigger screw has been used and the strap buttom drilled out. would like to do the repair myself, used to working with wood, good at DIY etc. but would like to do a proper repair and a sound repair
cheers ray

How Do I Upload or Put Pictures in my Posts?
We do not allow anyone to upload to the Forum; but you can link to remotely hosted pictures. We recommend a free picture hosting service such as www.photobucket.com. It is free, fast and easy. You upload your photos there, copy the [img] code they generate under your uploaded photo and copy it into your post. Your picture now appears in your post.

If you do not have an account at an image hosting service but you have your image(s) on a server somewhere else, You can place a link to that image and have it appear in your post by clicking on the icon that looks like a yellow square with a mountain in it (at the top of your "reply to thread" box). Simply paste the url into that box.

Like that!

Get a new strap button or at least strap button screw. Get a new piece of felt (Stewmac.com is the place to go). if the hole has been "expanded" by wear, stick a toothpick in, break off the excess, and you'll be able to screw in your strap button and it'll be good as new...
