You lucky bastard! Neurosis is easily one of my favorite bands. Just an incredible bunch of musicians, one of the best bands that's ever existed IMO. They tour so infrequently these days that I haven't been lucky enough to see them yet.
Oh, and I had no idea there was someone else on this board that likes Neurosis.

My brother plays in the band Yob as well as our band Norska and I always roadie for them. It gets many sweet perks (Neurosis being one of them). Kim Thayall was there too. It was an amazing night of music.

I like it dude! I'm a fan of all things slow and heavy.
A friend and I considered flying to the SF show but neither of us could swing it. It sucks living in Texas sometimes. Oh and since you live in Oregon, have you ever seen Agalloch?

Awesome! I live in the Great White Nowhere, so unless they make it to somewhere like Toronto, no chance I'm gonna be able to see 'em.
Never heard of Yob (well, I've heard 'em mentioned, but that's it). I'll have to check that out- as well as Norska.

I'm very jealous. They never seem to tour anywhere but the west coast. It's almost enough to make me move out there.

Geez, I'm such a geezer.
I've never heard of Neurosis.
I thought this was gonna be a great joke thread about "New Year's Eve with the neurotics."

Love Neurosis. I've seen them a couple of times, last time was a warehouse party in S.F. in the 90's.

Actually just listening to Crack the Skye, the new Mastodon album, and absolutely loving Scott's voice on the title track. It brings back great memories.

The couple of times Scott's done vocals with Mastodon it's turned out great.

I just caught them again!! This time at the great American music hall and was floored once again. This set was more on the brutal side though, which was awesome!
I love Neurosis, I saw them twice back in probably 1996 when they were opening up for Pantera. Great band.

I've heard they've been playing more older material lately including one of my personal favorites, Locust Star.
