Leach would be ok....maybe..... BUT only if they made him hire a top quality DC... for a long time at Tech he simply ignored the defense.

He would also need to do a better job hiring assistants that can recruit....because he hates recruiting.

Truthfully, Leach would never work at a school as big as Michigan, which is certainly going to have a lot of big alumni to meet and greet... he hates that stuff....and is terrible at it.

He's engaging with the press because he'll say funny stuff and is entertaining in a weird way.

He is an offensive genius though..... or dang close to one.

Leach was a joke, as an Iowa fan I have loved watching Michigan under Rod. :D

Really bad timing for Michigan & the way NCAA recruiting works. Whoever they hire will be at a distinct disadvantage in recruiting this year.

My first choice would be Harbough but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. I may in the minority here but I still want Les Miles. The guy is a freak and makes some questionable calls at times but you can't argue with his success and he is a maniac and a Michigan guy. As much as I hate term "Michigan Man" for finding a coach, I do think that his ties and passion are needed to help restore our position within the conference and with our rivals. And he's won on the biggest stage... get it done Michigan.

I would take the job for a fraction of what they will pay someone else, probably could do as well as Rich Rod.

These days you pretty well gotta be born into coaching I think..

This is probably an entirely different topic but I don't think anyone off the street has a shot anymore.

Restore some bite to the Wolverine D and a pro set offense. Got a little top job coaching under his belt now so he has learned a bit. 5 years Michigan would be hell to beat again.
