"Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" by the mighty ZEP?

It is fun for me, because it has both finger picking, and some rocking chords that sound good when pounded out on an acoustic. This was probably one of the first songs that I learned to pound out on an acoustic.

I saw Mr. Ray at the Beacon in NYC last year at the request of my wife ;-).... knew nothing about him and MY GOD I got chills when he really opened up and sang... Incredible experience.

Assuming you mean songs that are upbeat that people are familiar with and like, I recommend "And it Stoned Me" by Van Morrison. Easy to learn, most everybody knows the song when you play it, and it's a nice feel-good tune.

I need to learn more fun songs on acoustic. Most acoustic songs I know aren't particulary "fun" with respect to subject matter (if that's what you mean by "fun" in the OP).

I'd also throw out there anything by CCR... great tunes, though again the "fun" factor diminishes...
