I agree. These are made by the fine folks at UTZ! I lived for 15 years near Hanover and York, PA. Generally recognized as the snack food capital of the world. Yummmmmm.

Conn's Potato Chips Green Onion. Out of Ohio. Traveled a lot around the country and these were my favorites. Still order them online.

Jim, we used to have those around here. I haven't seen them in a decade, though.

I never saw so many different flavors of potato chips as I did at the convenience stores in Ireland. It was mind-boggling.

I used to work at the Guys potato chips plant on my summer breaks from college. We also supplied the walmart chips in our region. Exact same chip different bag. They went out of business due to EPA violations. They were good chips though.

I LOVE CHIPS!

My favs right now are (I'm in Ohio BTW - since Potato chips are regional (generally)):

Herr's Baby Back Rib Chips (they have a great smoky vinegar vibe)

Snyder of Hanover's rippled BBQ (TONS of seasoning and a thicker chip i.e better crunch)

Utz - Smoking Sweet BBQ (and Grandma Utz (fried in LARD!))

Gibble's (any flavor)

Jone's Carmel Corn Dittos

Dan-Dee Cheese Twists (melt on your tongue)

etc. etc...

Hawaiian Sweet Onion Maui Chips.

+1, although I'm used to seeing the word order reversed. I first tried them while on a bender with some friends, and as a result, we have taken to using the phrase "Sweet Maui Onion!" as an expression of surprise, as in, "Sweet maui onion! Did you get a look at that?"

Gotta say I like UTZ - the Chesapeake Bay seasoning are great...I do like Shearer's Kettle Chips and all the Grandma UTZ kettle chips. There was a great chip marker in the Reading, PA area (blue and white bag) that I used to stockpile when I visited my ex-inlaws out east. Don't remember the name, they were kettle cooked, skins on ...great crunch and salty....ummmm....

When in Canada, I get a kick out of two wacky Old Dutch flavors: Ketchup, and Dill Pickle.

Otherwise, anything low-salt & crispy. Boulder and Kettle are both great.

I love all sorts of potato chips, especially the dill flavored variety.

I'm not supposed to eat them anymore. Bad for my heart.

Around here there is a local brand called Better made. They have a flavor called Salvatore's Sicilan/ Garlic, parmesan and black pepper. An open bag is an empty bag.

When I was a kid my dad always got some brand called Geyser's. It came in a cardboard box with two plastic bags of chips inside. Is that brand still around? I'd like to try them out of nostalgia...although odds are they were just the lowest price brand in the store at the time.
