which model works best in the loop of a tweaker amp: the 250K or the 25K model?
i want to check before i buy!

LOL, sorry I didn't even pay attention to the loop part of the original post. Unfortunately Egnater doesn't post the specs of their loop, so it's impossible to say which pedal is better. I do know that the loop on the Rebel 20 is different than the Tweaker and a 250K would be better in the Rebel 20 loop. But the Tweaker is different. I would still probably use a 250K in the Tweaker loop.

I have a Tweaker and a EB 250K. I could try it and report the results.

I've used 250k in the loop of a few amps and it worked fine for me although the sweep is way different. If you are pushing the power tubes hard then there should be some compression which makes the travel work better in the 250k.

I did a bunch of testing on that and the taper is always affected when the 250k is after a buffered pedal or in the effects loop of the amps I've tried. The same thing happened with the Dunlop DVP-1 I tried, which makes sense since the site says the pot is 250k. I recently got the 25k Ernie Ball and it's in my effects loop. The taper is quite smooth and I'm impressed so far.

i think the tweaker loop is basically an insert point between the preamp and power stage....

I'm curious too! Had a 250K, so picked up a 25K here last month. I A/B'd them in the loop of both a Pamomino V32 and an Express 5:50.

I like to be able to set and balance my two channels' volume controls for the loudest situation I would need, and then use the loop's VP to adjust the overall level to each of my needs without having to rebalance each channel's volume in relation to each other. Gives me a pretty good 'set it, forget it' easy way out.

At whisper quiet up through moderately loud basement rehearsal levels, I cannot tell a difference. I'm not running anything else in the loop, as everything else is between guitar and amp. I'm not sure what I should have been expecting to hear different, if anything. Maybe it only matters if you are running effects in the loop? All of mine are out front, and this setup was purely to aid with volume setting. Thoughts?
