Thinking about picking up a G3. I will be using it only for practice, through headphones. Right now i use a Mustang III through headphones.
Has anyone compared these 2, will the G3 sound better? Also is there a workaround for lack of line in? I like to use computer backing tracks, will this work with the USB connection?
Thanks for any help!!

If you like clean tones, then I'd stick with your mustang because the clean tones in the g3 just sound like a direct guitar signal. Otherwise it sounds pretty good through headphones. I do miss I not having a line in though. :(

Yes, you can play backing tracks back from a PC through the USB :JAM

Thanks for the help guys! Any idea how well it would work in front of the MIII for extra dirt? Anyone tried that?
That's all i really feel i'm missing, a good TS/smooth dirt sounds.
for me, the Mustang III has better Fender clean tones... Everything else sounds better with the G3 Zoom

Here are some heavier tones I did using the G3 but with Recabinet
