Pros or cons? Seems like a nice sounding set it and forget it pedal with some variety in the springyness

I've had both the Bassman and Deluxe reverb (FBM and FDR) pedals from boss and they did exactly what you'd expect them to. Haven't seen this one yet but I'd reckon its in the same ballpark. These are extremely cool pedals and if I didn't have an actual Bassman I'd probably still have at least one of them!

I detested the FBM-1, unless you use it as a preamp/mid boost straight in front of an already dirty amp. Then it works great.

I own an FRV-1 and have owned an original 6G15. Although I was not able to a/b them others on the surf guitar forum did. Based off what they said and having owned an original I went for it. I have to say they were dead on about the FRV-1 being as dead on as it gets. I've never been happy with "spring" settings on digital reverbs until I came across this unit.
