I am looking to gig with two amps and I need a switcher that can allow me to switch between the two AND also have both amps play at once. I am sold on Lehle, but I am not sure which one will be best. I thought the 1AT3 would be perfect, but the Dual seems more flexible. I just need to be able to make the switching quickly and easily.
Thanks for your help!

Hey dude, you and I are on the same quest. Here's my findings so far...
If the two amplifiers hum when their inputs are connected together then your ABY switch needs to have a ground lift and a good quality isolation transformer. If there's no hum, then any cheap ABY will probably work, although guitar loading when both amps are "on" can dull the sound of single coil guitars.
The Lehle Little Dual is the simplest solution I have found with all the right ingredients. It uses power only to light up the LED, but still does the switching w/o power. I think the only drawback is the tap dance you need to do for switching between, A, B, then both (Y). If you want programmability and one-button switching, the the full sized Dual looks like the way to go. Lemme know what you come up with.

I use the 1@3 and the 3@1 and love them. No tone loss like most other switches. But they are "either/or" switches. So go for the Dual if you need both to be on, ala Stevie Ray....
My bass buddy went to NAMM and saw a new switch for bass there in the same display with Lehle. Can't wait to see that.

I have a Little Dual and I find it very easy to switch. One button alternates between both amps, A - B - A - B with every press. The other button alternates between both on and a single amp, AB - A - AB - A, or could be AB - B - AB - B depending on what amp you have selected with the other button...hope this makes sense.
I love mine, it eliminated horrible noise issues I was dealing with.
It does not just fix the ground loop hum problems... The Little Dual will also correct the phase, if needed.

I'd go for the Dual; super flexible, you can use the extra out for a tuner, if you have an amp with isolated channels you can run them both in addition to both amps, etc. . .

this is all correct, transformer for hum elimination and the phase inverter are vital to keeping your sound quality, one thing that has not been mentioned is the MIDI compatibility of all LEHLE SGoS-series switchers, might come handy in case you want to sync the amp switching with 19" or other effects.

The Little Dual is great, essential for me and have never had an issue with it.
