well i've finally succumbed to major Heatley G.A.S

( i knew it was only a matter of time and trying to decide which one was almost impossible : there all so cool )

Sent Scott a deposit to create me one of his wonderful instrument ..not going to let the cat out of the bag just yet ( it's something a little different and not exactly one he's done before :D )

but i won't be totally cruel though..

alder "chambered" back, maple top , maple neck, ebony board

Ps: now all i have do is break it to Ron... ( feeling unfaithful ever since )...:D

Ron...

" i was drunk" ..

"i didn't mean for it to happen"

" it's not you...it's Me"

;)

Cool!

The hard part is the wait (of course) but damn, Scott makes some scintillating guitars.

I love my Model T that I recieved a couple months ago (I still haven't posted any pics but I shall).

The best playing and most resonant guitar I've ever owned.

Enjoy. We all look forward to seeing the process!

Welcome to the Heatley club! Satisfaction guaranteed.

I have owned my Heatley Rosewood Hollowbody for nearly three years now and and still amazed every time I pick it up.

Keep us posted! Scott does truly excellent work.

Scott's guitars are really something. I have "many" of them. I do know how it feels to order something from a different builder after spending so much time with one. You feel like you are cheating on them! It's like, I don't know how to put this, but, I talked to another luthier on the phone...I'm so ashamed.

:D

Well...seeing as how Ron likes Scott AND Ron built one of Scott's machines, you're not really fully cheating.

Or something :)

Seriously though, Scott makes some great guitars. Some day (when I finish paying for my ordererd Thorns), I want to have a Heatley as well - I already have the specs in my addled little brain!

That's okay...you'll be back. And if you're not, there will be others to take your place. :p

Ron, the other guy.

ps...did I mention the warranty is now void on your Thorns? ;)

Yah, welcome aboard the good ship Heatley. Mine has been with me nearly a year now and continues to provide unsurpassable and immeasurable playing joy. More than a mere guitar, or even an instrument, my Heat is a living, breathing being, connected through the hands of the player to the heart of the luthier to the trees and earth from which they sprung.

Whoa... that's a little heavy, huh?

And I'm not even a marketing guy!
