NICE! :dude

Now it's time to get "Mahavishnu" on your ass!

Cool, would love to hear it.

Wonder why he used two different types of tuners?

My guess is a weight issue. 12 Sperzels would have added a lot of weight to the oud headstock.

What a sweet guitar! You can hear/see what he does with an instrument like this at: http://screamingheadlesstorsos.com/Website/kif.html
There is a video in the upper right corner that I really enjoyed. He is a killer musician.

dave's the man.

took a few lessons at his home in Bk, and fed me like no other teacher i've ever had. and his band totally rocks. gene lake AND fima e.? only fuze...

his wife's work is quite good, too. cool mix of down tempo house and diva-esque vocals.

btw, i thought Fuze was an ibanez endorser?

one of johan's many, many fine ones, i'm sure.
but,
dude, that's not an oud!
it's a fretless gtr.
dt / spltrcl

Could the top just be a 12-string fretless guitar with and oud scale?

Funny, I watched the vid before I read this, I thought it said Ibenez on the headstock?

I looked at the thread because the Gustavsson is of interest to me.

In February I stopped by Johans shop when I was visiting the town of Malmö were he is located as I wanted to thank him for the fine work he did on my 1960 SG/LP Special and he was then working on that one.

Nice to see how it turned out!

Johan was very kind and took time to show me some of his current projects even though he had tons of work to do.
