Jerry Jones' private Super Bowl Party tomorrow night at Cowboys Stadium! Hot damn that sounds like fun.
She (Valerie Romanoff) and I "dated" in 7-8 grade and were in our first band together (picture below; I'm in the purple pants; circa 1972 I think).
After college she married a piano player and they started a wedding band business called "Starlight Orchestras" out of NYC. In fact they played at my wedding 21 years ago (I think with eight pieces).
Valerie and the piano player split up and she kept the band business. It's done very nicely and there are multiple bands/front people. Gigs I know she did are Michael Douglas' wedding and the big wedding scene on the Sopranos. Below is a picture of her gigging with a Brazilian R7 (the dude may be real tall but she's no more than 4'11 on her toes!).
I don't know much about tomorrow's gig other than what's above and that the party is for the NFL Owners and friends and family, there will be several surprise headline artists, and her band for the gig is 18 pieces.
Damn I wish I still played tenor sax in her band...
