Just wanted to give some quick thoughts on the Celestion G10 Gold I intsalled yesterday in my gig amp. The amp is a Tweed Meastro GA-16t. In the past I have been running the amp into a 1x12 extention cab with a old silver Vox alnico. I use the amp cranked to about 8 for my overdrive sound and turn down the guitar volume or use a EQ to get cleans. The Maestro sounds like a old Marshall but at perfect band volume (although not a loud band) but only when running through the 12"vox, with every 10" I tried it just didn't cut..sounded animeic. In comes the Celestion G10 Gold. Installed it in the amp yesterday and had a gig last night...WOW!! The 12" cab stayed in the car. Loud, big..even frequencies and the tone is sooo G12ish but with a slightly different mid clang...lots of clang but enough lows to make it slam..no harsh highs. Man what a nice speaker. Now I don't have to bring my extra cab to gigs. The kicker is that I got the speaker used but with only about 10 hours..so its not even really broken in yet. I give it a :bow

Congrats! I'm digging the G10 Gold in my 6G10 Harvard too! Took the bell off to make it fit:
