I have a '68 Fender Princeton reverb and was hoping to run it with the internal speaker and another 12 (8 ohm) from the EXT SPEAKER jack.

however, i don't know what the ohms of the internal speaker are or what the Princeton can handle.

any info would be great!

...the stock Princeton Reverb speaker is 8-Ohms and the Output Transformer (OT) can handle another 8-Ohm load plugged into the external speaker jack; together (internal 8-Ohm and external 8-Ohm) they combine to create a total load of 4-Ohms -- which is OK -- but, going lower (ie: less than 4-Ohms) isn't advisable.

...the "Rule-of-Thumb" for TOTAL speaker load (internal plus external) is: "...no higher than TWICE, no lower than HALF, the stock value."

thanks!

i'm used to much higher gain amps and bass rigs where you have to be a little more anal.

i just couldn't find any ohm markings at all.
