Hello to everyone, I guess I need to formally introduce myself to everyone at TGP. I am a supporting member, and I have been reading TGP for about a year or so. I have had a successful transaction with another TGP member already, but this is my first post.
I am 47, and I am pretty much just starting to get serious with trying to learn to play the guitar. Having had a couple of guitars when I was younger but never taken any lessons, I never really got serious about learning to play, and eventually I gave up and got rid of my guitars.
Now, with a seventeen year old son wanting to play and taking guitar lessons, I am trying to to learn again. I really like Tele's and Strats. I have suffered through some GAS to come to this realization, and I still have some guitars and amps from the trial stage that I am not sure I will keep. Living in a remote area, there is no really cool place to try out anything, so it it is pretty much trial by error, based upon research.
At any rate, greetings to one and all from the Deep South.
