Hi Guys,

I made some clips with Eminence's Wizard. Hope you can hear the character of Wizard.
My friend Dave wrote me this,

"The clips sound great! I like the warmth and fullness of the 335. Very
different sound from the strat."

What do you think?

Wizard 335 Fast walking (www02.homepage.villanova.edu/david.kaplowitz/tomo/Wizard_335_fast-walking_1.mp3)
Wizard 335 Jazz blues (www02.homepage.villanova.edu/david.kaplowitz/tomo/Wizard_335_Jazz-blues_1.mp3)
Wizard 335 R&B solo (www02.homepage.villanova.edu/david.kaplowitz/tomo/Wizard_335_RandB-solo_1.mp3)
Wizard 335 Shuffle Blues (www02.homepage.villanova.edu/david.kaplowitz/tomo/Wizard_335_shuffle-blues_1.mp3)
Wizard SRV Blues solo (www02.homepage.villanova.edu/david.kaplowitz/tomo/Wizard_SRV_blues-solo_3.mp3)

Tomo recorded these clips using 67'ES335 or a Fender SRV Strat, Fuchs 50, and a Bob Burt V-front cabinet loaded with the Wizard.

More to come! Check this out.

Thank you so much!

The Wizard is really great speaker that a lot of people
are loving. I think my clips are showing fullness of
the Wizard.

I love mix of the Tonespotter & the Wizard. That fits with my
style. But I thought people want to hear just the Wizard
or just the Tonespotter.

I will make more clips with just the Tonespotter.
That's my next propject.

LeonC was explaining the difference between
Wizard & Governor. He did great job. Check his
Wizard clip too. Very cool playing.

here you can here more clips.

I am using more ES335 lately.
Thank you for your comment. You are true
TONE master!

That was the CJOD #2... Originlly Clay built 2 pedals
and I liked the CJOD ..so he rebuild another one just
like #1 and I use this for my 335. I set my gain 5.

Thank you Tag!

It's really important to relax while you play.
I get really excited to play .... but somewhere
you keep your cool there.. and constantly recover
even you play hard or push... breathing technique?

"Wax on, wax off!" type of practicing ...
Actually this topic was the first thing I talked
and demonstrated at my Tone Merchants clinic.

More you play more you relax and calm.
Drive slow!

Hello Tomo,

I also have a Fuchs 50 and I can hear the difference that speaker makes...still tight, as the fuchs tends to be, yet more of the vintage fender type warmth is there.

I found it hard to mix / match cabs other than the Fuchs cab with this amp.

Does anyone know why that is?

Do you use a siren cable?

Pricey but made a big difference for me.

Thanks for writing. Do you have a one 12 cab?

I don't use that cable. I am very happy with what I have now.

Thanks,

Hi Tomo,

thanks for all your great clips.
Are you still using the Wizard and the Tonespotter ?
At the moment I use a Tonespotter/Private Jack Mix with my Bassman ('74) Top and a Wizard/Private Jack mix in my AC30. I really dig those speakers.

Hi Alex,

Thank you. Yes. I love those speakers. I mix with others too.

Actually I love that mix too. Private Jack has good top range so you can express your dynamics. Try the Wizard & Private Jack mix.

I also love the Screaming Eagle.

Hi Tomo,

check out "Let's go" on the link below. It's a commercial jingle.
I recorded it with my SF bassman 50 with a 1X12 Cab. I do not remember if it was a private jack or tonespotter. Guitar was Suhr Strat, OD was (i guess)
Maxon SD9.

I just picked up a Wizard for my 1965 Bassman cab. What would be a good Eminence speaker to go with this? The head is a 1965 Bassman.
