Hello,

Can anyone reccomend a good repair tech in the SF Bay Area?

I have an 82 Lester which now has significant wear marks - particularly
on the fretboard.

Thanks in advance.

J.

Absolutely! I just had Geoff at SF Guitarworks (in SF on Potrero & 16th) do level & dress on a Fender Robben Ford and I'll tell you it is the finest fretwork I've ever seen. In fact I just called him this morning to rave about how good it is. Better than instruments I've had pleked, better than even brand new Grosh & Suhr guitars I've owned. Simply amazing work.

Guys like you need to pop up everytime there's a Plek discussion and everyone is saying Plek wipes-out fret-work done any other way.

call Keith Holland @ Guitar Hospital in Los Gatos and talk to him. he hasn't done any work on my '71 LP Dlx, but i've been to his shop & liked what i saw. worth

:cool:a look-see here, anyway (http://www.keithhollandguitars.com/)

also, Mark Brown in Campbell is recommended by Rick Turner (Turner, Alembic, Renaissance). a friend had him re-fin & fix his '54-'57 hybrid LP and approved of Mark's work.
