I recently picked up 1 ceramic SRO and 2 Coffee Can Alnico SRO's
Has anyone owned these that have had mounting hole issues. The holes don't even come close to lining up with just a standard Mojo 4x12 baffle. I tried drilling out the cast frame but still can't get them to line up??

I put a pair of Alnico SROs in my Twin Reverb years ago and had no issues at all with things lining up.

I know that the Twins came with SRO's at one point as stock speakers...maybe that is a factor. Not sure why they are so far off on mine.
Thanks though

yep the coffee cans have a different hole pattern. I had to add new holes to my 1 * 12 cab for mine

I don't think they ever came with SROs. Perhaps you are thinking of JBLs.

Man that sucks.....has anyone come up with a fix. I will probably have to tear the cab apart and drill EV holes around the standard holes on my older cabs. I wish there was a template available...I will attempt to make one as I am having a custom 1x12 being built now.

As I mentioned in the other thread - I also had alignment issues with my EV SRO/12 AlNiCo. I ended up drilling the existing holes a bit bigger - using successively larger drill bits, until the holes were large enough to allow for the slight shift necessary for proper alignment. I had to use washers to cover the slightly bigger holes. It's worked fine in 2 different cabs.
I just played it last night and it is such a great speaker in a class all its own.

I fixed my cab by laying out holes for the EV on a different circumference that the CELE holes. SO I have them off set by 45 degrees. There are 8 holes total. 4 for EV, 4 for Celestion. I did not have to take the cab apart. I did have to be careful and not drill the grill cloth

Looks like that is the only and best choice. Mine for some reason are waaay off so drilling the holes bigger just wont work.
