View Full Version : Special Anniversary Suhr
Did you hear about the Suhr anniversary yesterday? No, not any special new guitars. It was the birthday of the man himself.
Happy Birthday John.
I won't mention his current age, but let's just say that NEXT year might deserve a special limited edition model with perhaps "50" of them made.

lol. Never heard of such a thing! Although pic below is a pretty cool one but of course is a long scale bolt on. Tele shape, mahogany body and neck, with a braz rosewood board. Flame maple top in aged cherry burst. HSH (DSV+, V60LP, DSH+) with a standard trem. Black headstock with abalone inlays. Amazing guitar that covers a ton of turf. Giddy Up!
Evan.

Nice one Evan. Don't tell me the Suhr took over your Les Paul as the No. 1! BTW-I thought the short scaled bolt on tele was the limited edition Suhr for this year? I could've sworn I read that on the Suhr forum. It'll be Suhr's version of the andy cobra.
I have 2 Suhrs and an LP. While the Suhrs may change, that general ratio is about the same as it has been for years. Don't really have a "number 1" as they are all so different.
I prefer the Suhr stuff for most things, but there are certain times that just call for an LP. I don't mean a McNaught, a Grosh Singlecut, a PRS or anything else. I mean an actual LP. Maybe that is just me. I still love the look and feel of a really good LP for certain applications.
This is the first time I have been without a Baker in a long time. Maybe I am due, but that would mean selling the LP I suppose. Could happen.
Now, that mythical Suhr setneck short scale singlecut could change things as far as an LP for me of course. But remember, you can't believe everything you read on the forums. When something is real and available, then it is worthly of consideration. :D

Happy birthday John. I'm quickly becoming a Suhr poster child.
Suhr Tele into an OD-100 SH/SE, and a classic coming in July.
Evan, that Tele is sick.

Me too. I have the Suhr guitar covered, the CAA OD-100 will be soon, very soon!
Happy Belated, John.
You and I are close in age...you got me by a couple of months.
I'm a fan, and Suhr owner (courtesy of our own Mude!).
Evan, that is still a world beater of a Strat style axe...
Glad you had a moment of weakness.
Oh...killin' Tele!
:D

I don't know if it is fair to still call mine a Tele as it is so bastadized. But, it is certainly a good 'un.
Glad to hear that you are still enjoying "Old Yeller." I had that guitar for a quite a while. Can't remember why I sold it. I think I was chasing a Baker or something back then.
Terrible picture below that does not show the cool aged looking creamy color at all, but was taken years ago and this was all I could find. You have probably reliced it up by now anyway. :D

Hope all is well as I have not talked to you in a while.
Evan.
Yep,
That's my Suhr!
I'll give you a shout this week...
All is  (if you dont include the temp!)
