He's only a true Slayer fan if he lit it on fire. And yes, I've seen someone carve Slayer into his arm and then light it on fire. That's real dedication.

As far as band tattoos the only one I'd seriosuly consider getting is the Black Flag bars on my arm. Yeah, I know it's cliche but I don't care.

no. never. I'm a music nut. there are a few bands that I've traveled all over the country to see. I own every album, concert dvds, all kinds of bootlegs, have seen them live 50+ times, spent thousands of hours listening to their music, etc. Basically I am a super geeky uber fan. I would never get some band logo tattooed on my body, and I honestly have no idea why anyone ever would.

I think the only people whose signatures I'd get tattooed on me would be SRV and Eric Johnson. Those guys are the reasons I wanted to be GOOD at guitar rather than just play it. One's impossible to get, and the other... well, I don't want to have to explain to people who the hell Eric Johnson is. :\
