The reverb on my deluxe has stopped sending signal to the reverb pan. The reverb itself still works - when you bang it it crashes like normal but the guitar signal isnt getting through.

Is this a wiring problem or a tube problem? If it is a tube issue which one needs replacing? If its wire how do I track it down?

Many thanks in advance for your thoughts,
d2

Also, I notice that as you turn up the reverb knob there is increased hum. Hope that helps for diagnosis...

First try replacing V3 or the 12at7 on the right of the small reverb transformer(looking from the back). Then V4 or the 12ax7 to the left of the reverb transformer. Try replacing the reverb cables going from the pan to the back of the amp.

Look inside the pan and see if the small wires that go to the spring assembly broke off. They somtimes do.

This is what happened to my '65 Vibrolux; easy fix.

By the way, I diagnosed it by plugging my Deluxe Reverb pan into the Vibrolux, and the reverb worked, so I knew there was nothing wrong with the Vibrolux's chassis in any way, thus had to be something with its reverb pan or cables.

Thanks to all - I'll give it a shot tomorrow!
