This just caught my eye whilst I was looking for some reference material on lowered voltages:

Cool idea, anyone got one yet?

Is that thing going to be $19 bucks, or is that just the MSRP, making even less expensive? That makes me think about picking one up and putting a 9v battery adapter on it, in order to easily try out that voltage-starved eBow idea that a few have put into practice....

Musician's Friend has it for pre-order at $20. Ordered it last night. They also have clips up at http://www.danelectrode.com/. The OCD and Echo Baby both sound very cool. I never would have thought to starve a delay. But now I will...

Isn't this the same idea as the sag feature on the Voodoo labs PP2+ ?
Would be a nice option if you used a different Power Supply

Yes, same idea. Does the PP2 go down to 3 volts?

It goes down far enough that the pedal shuts off, at least every pedal I've tried it does.

I picked one up last week. A great price even if you just want to use it as a regular adaptor. I like that it has a switch that goes between 9V and whatever else you pick.
Been busy messing with a couple other pedals I got this week to really mess with this thing, but I cant wait to start screwing around with some non-dirt pedal. I cant hurt anything by like starving a chorus pedal right?

I don't see why starving a circuit would damage it... overloading it on the other hand - that's what you need to watch out for.

I under fed a digital effect once and smoked it. I dunno why?

That being said, starving the fuzz is cool, maybe many dirt pedals would enjoy that sometimes.

My Fulltone Ultimate Octave definitely souds better to me with low voltage. It sounds more raw and spitty.

Hey, I just got one for my blog. I didn't see this post before I started my other one. I have a few clips and pictures of her here: http://guitarvideochannel.com/blogs/archives/dan-electrode-by-danelectro-product-review

Mine arrived while I was away last week. I used it with a few fuzzes last night and it certainly makes a difference.

I'll try to do a full review on my blog by this weekend and add a few clips if possible.

It did especially crazy stuff to my Dano French Toast. On about 3.5 volts, it slows the attack to an almost backwards-tape sound. Pretty crazy!

Using it with chorus or flanger changes the clocking for the BBD chips and gives a kind of "doubling" effect, pretty cool but noisy.

I wouldn't do it with digital, they basic functionality just doesn't work without enough voltage. Anything that's completely analog should be safe.

Lol, I was just looking for something to do the opposite, my daisy chain is 9v and I was hoping to bump a few pedals up to 12-18v, but didn't want more wires and wall jacks.
