Hamer makes an amazing guitar, no doubt in my mind. I do own several guitars from small builders, and my Hamers hold their own, and in some cases surpass some of them.

I think it looks awful...I'll give you $500 so you don't have to put up with it any longer. :D Seriously, mucho Schwiiinngg factor! :dude I'm actually in the market for a Les Paul or similar, but I would like to find one of these at a good price.

That is a SWEET guitar. I might have to look into Hamers.

Well, this is simply the best guitar I have owned. It is beautiful to look at and the workmanship is immaculate. The playablility is perfect for me (thank you Nathan at Music Machine) and gives up LP tones for days. The neck is what I would call medium but it does not taper as you travel to the upper registers, so it feels pretty substantial. Also, the guitar is relatively light and very well balanced.
There is no Hamer dealer in the L.A. area so I cannot compare it to the regular Studio Custom, but I must think they are similar. The TT has a few differences that probably contribute to a slightly different timbre.

I love old Hamer guitars but these new ones are just incredible.

Actually, West LA music carries hamers, and last time I was in there they had a studio custom. Nice guitar by the way

Looks like you're right about that aquadog. I just did a dealer search and they have added West LA Music and Sam Ash. Good news for L.A.!
