Best year for SG/LP Juniors

Wanting to dive in to the single P90 world and I'm looking at the old ones...

Just wondering if there are any particular years I want to stay away from on these guitars? Any particular years (other the than first ofcourse) highly desirable?

My '64 Jr was to die for.... still kinda sorry I let that go.
My understanding is that somewhere in '67 they changed the neck/body join to a poorer design. I've seen examples from this era and while it's difficult to explain without images as examples, the tactile difference is noticeable in the higher fret area.
My own opinion is that '64 and '65 were two of the "best" years for the SG Jr.

20 years ago, I sold my '64 SG Special.
WTF did I do????!!!
I had sellers remorse and found this clean '62 SG/LP Junior.
Bagged it for $325.00.
Remember it was the early 90's.
Got it with an original yellow lined case.
Still have it.

from what i have gathered somewhere in mid to late '65 they drastically changed the neck profile. the nut width became super narrow & the neck super skinny. i've played some great early '65s though that had necks with decent substance to them.

I have a '62 and bloody love it. INCREDIBLY light, perfect neck for me, and now that I have a P90 back in it... THE tone. :D
