I have the Presonus Firebox, which is a firewire audio/MIDI interface, and I love it.

My only firewire port is being used. I need USB or a new card. Older Dell Dimension 8300. Not looking for the best. Was considering the EMU XMini 2x2, just to hook up s outboard DAW.

I,d go the USB route. Its getting harder and harder to find affordable laptops with firewire.
