and what are your experiences ..the new one looks really cool with the tap tempo and the trails that spill over when the pedal is turned off .plus with the flutter it sounds like it can get some great subtle chorusing fx.
The icing is the 9db boost that i am thinking i can use as a lead boost

It sounded great but there was a slight intermittent moment when engaging or disengaging the effect...made it useless for my purposes.

I have one, the triplets, trails, and tap functions are really great. It's very versatile w/ the use of the tone and flutter controls. You can get analog/lo-fi/tape type delays with the tone down and flutter up, or get digital delay with flutter down and tone up. I actually don't really use the boost at all, but that's just me. :)

Thanks guys
Analog was that the old black one or the new one that did not engage right away

I love that thing. Just a great tone, and really easy to dial in. Between the high roll off, the volume and mix, you can get the right amount. I'm sure you've seen the PGS YouTube demo, but if not, check it out. It sort of sold me into trying it, and I kept it..

Also use the new one. Haven't experienced any intermittence when engaging.
It just sounds great. I tried and returned the TC Flashback because I prefer the sound of the Tech 21.
Triplets, tone control and flutter along with tap tempo covers all the delay territory I need.

I got the inermittence with the new one.
Just play a chord (let it sustain) and then turn on the effect mid-chord.....you'll hear it.
I like to turn my delay on and off constantly...to get a little lick or just one note from a solo to cascade into the next section. The DLA boost did not work for my purposes at all.

I had a gold one for a day... sounded rather cold & sterile to me, but I liked the feature set. The demos I watched sounded awesome, I was very disappointed when it sounded cold & sterile in my rig. FWIW, the Echo Park sounds better to me, as does the El Capistan & TC Flashback.

I use the old one exclusively for lead/solo playing...just delay and boost is all I need and the DLA does a great job for me

There really shouldn't be a noticeable lag when switching. There may have been something wrong with the programming of the unit. It's impossible to tell without us putting it on the bench.
It's also possible that there was more of a perceived lag in that if you don't have the pedal set for unity gain (as it's also a volume boost) there may seem to be more of an abruptness with the combination of a wet boosted sound vs your straight sound.
If you really want a totally seamless delay system like in the studio you might want to use the Steve Morse approach. Steve runs a couple of delays and sends them to his "wet only" amps. He has the send of the delays running to volume pedals first and can constantly adjust the wetness of the delays and bring them in and out like in the studio. While most of us aren't going to carry a couple of extra amps for this purpose the same thing can be done with any amp that has a parallel efx loop and a delay unit that can be set for a 100% wet and a volume pedal. You can also use one of those after market mixer pedals for this as well.

I think its great.
Really warm delay, tone knob is very useable .Can go from Lowfi very dark to somewhat open highend analog delay.
The flutter knob I usually keep off , it adds modulation and some 'tape delay' vibe ,past 12 o clock it gets extreme .
Level knob is very sensitive so I have that taped in one spot to where I like it just in case my foot hits it on a gig.
Whats great is you can turn the time and feedback to 0 and raise the level for a solo boost (alot of boost on tap)
Taptempo ,trails, triplets all great features.Though wouldbe nice if the triplet button was large enough to turn on n off with your foot.
