606 = their own personal recording/rehearsal studio in LA

They have filmed rehearsals in the past and streamed them. I think last one was back in 2009 and they played for like 3 hours or something crazy.

It's a Warmoth parts tele that he built himself. He talks about it in the new Guitar World. There's a good picture of it (and the band) on the cover.

Not a huge Foos fan, but have to give them a lot of respect.

A big ol' room like that to have a band in is a complete dream of mine!!

If there's ever been a guy that's "living the dream," it's Dave Grohl.

He strikes me as a guy who loves music. He loves to play music. He loves to play music with people. He loves to play music for people. He gets "it."

He was in a band that entirely turned the music industry on end. He got to play with the guitarist from a legendary band. He then starts his own band- writes some really kickass music- puts a band together and makes a bunch of records that I regard as some of the inconceivable greatest rock records- ranking up there with the records of "those guys." In between projects he works with bands- "nobody" bands like Verbena and projects like Queens of the Stone Age and helping out guys like Andrew WK.

Makes some more great records, gets to jam with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones in a packed Wembley stadium... gets to be in a band with John Paul Jones- and then makes another absolutely inconceivable album and has ****ing Lemmy star in the video. You just get the feeling Paul and Ringo are going to call him up for their new record...

I'm not prone to analyzing lyrics or trying to interpret what someone is saying in a song- but I think I get it when he says "I never wanna die." This is a dream- a ride you don't want to get off of, regardless of how dizzy it makes you.

Keep rockin' Dave.

Saw the whole performance in 3D (as it was shot) following FF's Back & Forth documentary at the Pavilion Movie Theatre in Brooklyn...definitely a once in a life time experience.

Dave Grohl rocks! :aok
