Seen some threads noting that you can use the POD HD500 to control the 11rack via midi.

I know the POD XTL has midi capabilities, however, I'm not sure if it can programed to fully control another device.

I have a POD XTL kicking around, and if I can use it as a foot controller, that would work out really well as it would also double as a 'back up' too.

Not completely sure, but I dont think the xt live is capable of assigning midi functions like turning effects on and off etc. I am sure it would probably change your banks up and down and select a patch, but thats about it. Someone chime in if I am mistaken.

I have used it and found it unsatisfying- had to step a couple times to trigger
certain effects- patches worked best. I would just get a behringer 1010 or Voodoo foot control unit.

Slotools...

Are the patch changes just a simple on click and done proposition? I already have a XTLive and if that works it would be great! Also, does the expression pedal work correctly?

Bring this back from the grave, because this topic really interests me.

Anybody have any luck doing this?

For the IIr, I would recommend the Voodoo Lab Ground control- seen them go pretty cheap- the xt live works and can be annoying, especially when it is important that your unit works properly and correctly when performing.

I am using a Pod hd500 with an Axe FxII currently- cant wait for the Mfc 101 to be available again.

I just play at home and I'm just starting to get into recording, so it's not super important. Plus, I'm already going to have the XT live, so I may as well give it a shoot :rotflmao
