I need to replace a Strat neck off of a MIJ Strat. Can anyone recommend a replacement neck manufacturer that carries a "V" shaped neck and rosewood fretboard. Your recommendations/suggestions for a company and their build qualities would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jerry

Allparts does a neck that is a med-V. I think they are called a SRO-V and a SMO-V. They are known to be cut in the same factory in Japan as the Fender stuff. If you want custom specs, I would recommend USA Custom.

USACG is superlative to everything i've used to date...
i've been building custom guitars since 1984.

I got an Allparts tele neck and was impressed with the quality. Installing a new neck is not a slam dunk; if you're experienced with guitar work, you'll be OK. Otherwise you'll want a tech to do it.
You have to drill the holes (straight and well-aligned) for your body. You only get one shot at this. I ended up making a jig to keep my hand drill perpendicular to the flat portion of the neck.
You will have to install the tuners and string trees.
It will probably need some fret work- they spray the laquer right over the frets, and it needs to be removed. I took that as a sign to do a full-on level, crown and polish. Also made a new bone nut.
It's several hours of work in experienced hands, but the result is great; I would do it again in a heartbeat.

USA Custom does good work, but if you have specific requirements that they can't cover, Musikraft has equal or superior quality and many more options. Musikraft has more neck shape and depth options than USA Custom or Warmoth, and Musikraft can also do a nitro finish, either satin or gloss, and can install tuners and a bone nut cut so well that you won't need to file the slots afterwards in most cases, and their necks tend not to need fret level/crown work, which is not the case with many others.

Thanks guys, I will certainly look into Allparts as well as USA Custom. The only other aftermarket necks I knew of where from Mighty Mite, and I've heard mixed reviews. I also will have a look at the Warmoth necks as well. Thanks for the advice.

TGP's Jack Daniels will make you an incredible neck. USACG awesome makes great necks. Those two are the best I've seen.

All of the recommendations so far are quite sound. Also give Warmoth a good hard look. Their products are top notch too. Their V neck is closer to the first Clapton V shape.

The Warmoth website is very informative and provide lots of options. Any ideas what their turnaround time is?

It depends. If you buy something from the showcase it will need to be fretted, that usually takes two weeks or so. A neck built from scratch could take a month or more. In my experiences with them, the orders ship much faster than the estimates Warmoth provides.
