I have some ideas for a guitar that I'd like to have built. It has a multi laminate through body neck and is shaped something like a vintage Supro or an offset waisted SG (only thicker). The materials aren't exotic, it would just requires experience building neck through guitars.
Who should I talk to?

Wow, neck through huh?

That is an interesting quandry. Most of the builders I know of, are concentrating on their own designs.

What about Ken Loper? I've heard good things about him, and seen some interesting stuff in pictures. Might be worth a shot.

Scott Heatley http://www.heatleyguitars.com/ is usually up for something exotic.

Scott does wonderful work but I dunno if he does neck-thru instruments. The one Loper I played was a great guitar.

also check out guys like David Myka (mykaguitars.com) and Saul Koll (kollguitars.com).

There this guy in Cali, Ken Bebensee (kbguitars.com) that does some nice stuff, visually stunning but never played them though.

try Denyle Guitars...I've got a lovely LP Jr. style guitar from him that really sings... it also has a 5 piece laminate neck that's really, really comfortable..

I would go with Hill guitars...

http://www.hillinstruments.com/

The guy will do anything you want *except* a headstock copy and he has been building neck-through guitars for several years now. This sounds like something that would be right up hill alley. I have seen and played a couple of his instruments and they were exceptional pieces. They were right up there with the builders that are mentioned on the Gear Page every day.

You could try below:
http://www.sweetwoodguitars.com/options.cfm

Partial quote from link above.

"BODIES AND TONEWOODS
I offer pretty much any type of body construction and shape that you can dream up. I have done veneers over mahogony, maple cap over mahogony and many others. Only superior tonewoods are used. I keep an inventory of carefully selected tone woods on hand. If you would like something really exotic, I can usually get it for you granted it was harvested ethically. 100% of my lumber comes from certified means of harvestation."

You might want to try Stambaugh guitars. He builds guitars and basses and definitely knows a lot about neck thru construction.
